Artist's Comments

I was taking a break from working on my portfolio and applications, and too many hours later I ended up with this.

 Lovely collage of pictures.I think it would look great printed out in poster size. What is the white & blue thing in the central picture? Not too keen on that being in there.

thanks :)
It is designed for a 40"x30" print.
em, if mean the very centre image, then the white and blue thing is two or three campus vans/mini-buses. i know what you mean by not being keen on them, but i decided to leave them in (not edit over) cos they are part of the Uni.

This is an excellent montage of a magnificent building.

I like how you've combined the larger images with the more detailed smaller features. Good use of contrasting viewpoints also add to the appeal of this piece.

Well composed and photographed.

thank you for your comments. I had a good time wandering round the buildings, and there's so much to see. The basis for the piece was a postcard/large (tourist) print for my wife's aunt in the States (who is an alumni from many years ago)
Thanks also for the :+fav: for this piece, and the :+devwatch:

No problem. :)

It's a good selection of images to give a sense of the grandeur of the place. I do love the University buildings. There is just so much to look at, and it would be impossible to include all those magnificent features in a single postcard. You've done well though.

I notice you practice Ki Aikido. That's interesting, because Tomiki Aikido was one of the many martial arts I was trained in. I always enjoyed Aikido. Despite being a very graceful and relaxing style, it makes for a powerful form of self -defence.
